Fantasy Football Tips – Premiership Gameweek 36 Preview
Last week we saw Chelsea crowned Champions of the 2014-15 Premier League and this week all the action continues with just a couple of more game weeks left to play. These last couple of weeks are crucial in selecting key players and bagging those final points as the season draws to a close.
Third place Arsenal are currently in good form at the moment and one reason is down Olivier Giroud (£8.7m) who has scored seven in the last nine matches and is a great contender to consider for Captain this week. The Gunner’s face Swansea who have been in good form lately and Gylfi Sigurdsson (£6.5m) would make an excellent selection for midfield where the player could possibly cause a shock upset for the Gunners.
Champion winners Chelsea have seen John Terry (£7.0) in the best form this season and has helped guide the team to become Title Winners but now they have achieved the victory, the clubs strength may drop off slightly, but that’s not to say Terry will not be key to the Chelsea defense and keep the Blues clean form. We see the title winners play Liverpool, who are currently in the hunt for Champions League spot where they sit 4 points behind 4th place, Manchester United. Brazilian midfielder Phillippe Coutinho (£7.9m) is one to keep your eyes on since securing 13 points against QPR last week in a 2-1 victory over nearly relegated QPR. His stats are currently more impressive than his fellow team man Raheem Sterling (£8.5m) more recent form when he has managed to secure a goal and assist.
Elsewhere Manchester City host QPR at the Etihad Stadium. Sergio Aguero (£12.7m) spent a previous six games without a goal and has now scored five in last four matches – one being the match winner against Spurs last weekend and it is safe to say his drought it over. The Argentinian striker has a big chance at scoring on home soil to enable him to further his chances of being crowned the top goal scorer in the Premier League – also a strong candidate for the Captains seat this week! David Silva (£9.5m) is likely to pay apart if City are a success in what we expect to be a big performance. One to avoid on QPR’s side is a defensive player, where the team is without many players including Nedum Onuoha (£4.3m), Rio Ferdinand (£4.2m) and most likely Steven Caulker(£4.6m) due to injury and therefore protecting the goalpost against a strong city side will be a difficult task. This trip away is likely to determine the fate of QPR and into relegation after their poor run of form this season.
Manchester United have suffered three match defeats in a row – the first time in 14 years within the Premier League! Pardew’s team welcome the United team to Selhurst Park where they will be looking to bounce back through the likes of Wayne Rooney (£10.8m), Angel Di Maria (£9.4m) and Juan Mata (£8.5m). Meanwhile Glenn Murray (£4.9m) for Palace has been quiet lately but Yannick Bolasie (£5.6m) has been more promising with a 119 points so far this season and is one to watch. Further down the bottom of the table we see Hull play host to relegated Burnley side, who will be looking to lock up the points and distance themselves from the relegation drop where they are currently 1 point ahead of a struggling Sunderland side.
